It's that time again..

Yes boys and girls..

It's time for me to procrastinate once more on not doing homework and instead make a new blog =)..booyah!..I hope you guys liked my first one, and I had this great idea that if I end up making atleast 5 blogs I will throw a big party celebrating my anniversary.

Oh and out of topic of music, I would like for everybody to gather and start making a fund called " Get Lay that micro pig that she so desperately want".

Ok so on to music again. This week I found this really nice Australian guy that I actually came to admire. His name is Xavier Rudd and ironically he will be playing in Amsterdam around November if you guys would like to see him live. I know i'm hoping to get tickets so if you'd like to join me don't hesitate too much.

The song that I really like that I heard from him ( i'm not sure if it's his or not but oh well) is called ' Fortune teller'. the clip I saw is live and it looks by far an amazing show that wouldn't imagine missing. He is multi talented and has this quirky instrument called the didgeridoo (try saying that 10 times around) which is originally from the aboriginal people.

The song sounds to me very eclectic in a way and just has a beat to it that in a way makes you want to do some funky poses that I think fits perfectly with the song.

Anyhoo, my second choice for this week is a girl called Laura Marling with her song Blackberry stone (No!,it doesn't have to do with the phone). She's from England and as you know it she sings some heavenly folksy songs.

The song has a bit of a melancholy feeling behind it, but it wouldn't be one of my picks if there wasn't any morbid message hidden in it. My favorite line of this song is "I'd be sad that I never held your hand as you were lowered, but I'd understand that I'd never let it go".

The clip that I watched on youtube is a live version of the song and like always I much rather listen to the live version. It shows you more on what the song means to the artist and the feeling behind it (Yeah, I know sappy)

So i'll keep it short for now...

I was told that they've noticed how I was trying to create a new trademark for myself by saying 'Lay out'. So because of that reason I will keep my element of surprise and say something new each week. Take that! ..

See you next week.

Toodles.

My first blog

Well hello,..

I'm excited because I finally joined the blog world as most already have.
This blog is something simple and pretty much self-absorb, where I talk about the music I currently can't stop listening to. I'm hoping that by doing this a few people mind find new songs that they never thought to even look for.

I'm not really going to be talking about technical stuff about the song that I have chosen seeing as I myself am not very instrumental. I just want to show the music I love that give me butterflies in my tummy :-).

I used to listen to more heavier music such as metal and alternative when I was younger but have grown to love more folk and indie music within time. I do however, have my weak moments of liking some mainstream music which I will also show in this blog ( shamefully ofcourse).

So I really hope some people enjoy this :-).

For this weak i'm going to start with two songs that I havent been able to stop listening to. You know when you keep overplaying a song like 30 times? and you realise how utterly obsessed you have become and that you're a few step away from becoming a stalker? Well this week I am in that desperate phase.

First song I can't stop listening to is from Florence and the Machine called - Between two lungs.

As I start listening to it now in order for me to write just  how much I love it I get a chill of it. I would also have to mentioned that I really love writing so when  pick some songs I tend to really enjoy the lyrics for one reason or another. This song just makes me jolly, like I would like to take off my shoes and jump in a puddle. I really like her voice and not to mention that beautifull red hair of hers that I am by far jealous of. The song gives me a sense that I have to get up and do something different for a living and sometimes everybody need to get that feeling to get out of their own mind set.

Ok, now the second song that I would recommend is from Mumford and sons and it's called White blank pages.

I must say that I really wish I can see them live. Sadly, the tickets have been sold for a very long time. I might even consider giving a kidney ( uhm, to buy for you to cook...not actually donate one :-). oh yeah and I can make very lame jokes, but that's beside the point now. I really love how their songs are written and someday I wish that I will be sprinkled with the magical dust to make me write in such ways. My favorite line of this song is when they say '' Lead me to the truth and I will follow you with my whole lie". I just became drawn to that line and how many ways you can perceive that.

I'll make it sure this time... I'll put the links below if anybody would actually like to listen to these songs.

Lay out ....
