A magician never reveals its secrets...

They are not new to my ears but I definitely have given them a second take, and this time...it only took a glance for me to be reminded on how amazing and fresh their sound is. 

I'm speaking of a band that is the equivalent of a toddler to us human. They are nearly three years old as a band but they have more soul in them than some. 

The band?
Young Magic

Their sound?
Indie Electronic with a hint of morbidity.

My obsession? 
'' You with air" and "Sparkly"
 

 Their latest album was in 2012 titled ''MELT".  Consisting of a blend of cultures, their creations exude what they embodied. A global movement of electronic music has been taking over modern day music. 

Now combine the melody of indie music, the sinner-like lyrics that takes you on a whole other level and the layers of exhilarating electronic beats poisoning your dancing shoes. What do you have there then? surely a weird sounding receipe for a musical disaster? No dear son... 

Beyond the mass populations believe, electronic music and what's perceived as music with ''real'' instruments have held hands through years. Like peanut butter & Jelly or a white on rice. Young Magic is a great example on a success story. 

I move on...to what's been on repeat for the last hour in my mind. Two of my favourite songs in their albums as stated before is You with air and Sparkly.  Both with a completely different structure and separate musical instruments used. Their methods of involving not only the lyrics but the sounds to create this illusion in your mind if you only let it, is for me somewhat priceless. 

Not to mention the amazing footage being used alongside this music. It is how you envision things could be outside your mind and seep through our actual world. So prove me wrong, and go ahead and see the vids and see if you can watch it, listen to the music and not get at least a small sense of enjoyment.

On another note:  Since I do not have as much time as I wish to have to write all the time, there's a Facebook page completely focused in bringing you music that deserve the limelight.  It saddens me at times to see amazing music being overlooked because of current music knowledge or better said, the lack of. My aim, and all I really want to do is for one extra person to press play on a band or a DJ they would've never thought to try out. 

As in, not simplifying music into only one genre.

To hold music on such a high pedestal we will start needing ladders.

To close your eyes and rather see the colours of the music. 

Everything that cannot be placed into only one word but needs an ESQUE at the end of it.
